funeral photography

A quiet way to remember, reflect & heal

I provide documentary-style funeral photography throughout Lancashire and the North West.
Choosing to have a funeral documented might not be something you ever imagined doing. It can feel like an unusual decision, maybe even an uncomfortable one. But if you’re here, you’ve already considered it — and that’s important. Because photographs can be a powerful part of remembering, reflecting and healing.
I offer discreet, documentary-style funeral photography that focuses on the small, quiet moments — the clasp of a hand, the softness of an embrace, the shared memories between loved ones. These are the details that often blur with time, yet mean the most.
The images I create will be predominantly black and white (unless requested otherwise) and will tell the story of the day in an honest, sensitive and unobtrusive way. My role is not to impose, but to gently observe, capturing the warmth, dignity and love that surrounds a final farewell.
What You Can Expect
Unobtrusive presence
I will never interfere or direct, only document what naturally unfolds.
Respect and Professionalism
My approach is quiet, dignified, and sensitive to the emotions of the day.
Discreet and unseen
I work from a distance, blending into the background. Many won’t even realise I’m there.
A meaningful record
These photographs are for you to look back on in the years to come, and to share with those who couldn’t be there.
If preferred, I can remain completely in the background, with no need for direct communication on the day itself. I am also happy to correspond solely by email if that feels easier.
How Your Images Are Delivered
