First Impressions.
There are some shoots that feel like work, and then there are days like this—where you walk into a business and immediately know you’re in the company of great people. My recent visit to Select Car Leasing in Preston was exactly that. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel incredibly welcome. There was a genuine buzz in the office, the kind that only comes from people who enjoy what they do and who they do it with. That energy carried through the entire shoot and became a key part of the final images.
A Team Full of Personality.
The brief was clear from the outset: create a set of images that reflect the personality of the team while still presenting a polished, authoritative brand. Select Car Leasing wanted to be seen as leaders in their industry—the go-to experts for car and van leasing, known for their choice, value, and professionalism. And after spending time with them, it’s easy to see why they already are. We started with individual headshots for all 13 team members. Each session focused on capturing natural expressions and confidence—images that feel approachable, while still carrying that sense of credibility and trust their clients expect. Steven and Tony, the directors, set the tone perfectly. Calm, confident, and genuinely engaged with their team, their portraits reflect strong leadership without losing warmth.
Headshots.
Alongside the individual portraits, we created a series of group shots and environmental images around the office. These are the images that bring everything together—showing how the team works, interacts, and represents the business as a whole. The office itself provided a great backdrop: clean, modern, and full of natural light. It allowed us to create images that feel authentic to their working environment, reinforcing who they are as a company. One of my favourite moments from the day? A birthday celebration. Kieran had brought in a homemade cake to mark his birthday. It was a small moment, but it said everything about the culture within the business—supportive, thoughtful, and genuinely close-knit.
