Sometimes Stories Aren't Planned.
One sunny afternoon, I headed to Roby Mill Farm Shop with Frankie to pick up some vegetables. Simple enough — or so I thought. But then we spotted the sunflowers. Rows of golden blooms swaying gently in the breeze, just begging to be photographed.

The Prettiest Dress.
Frankie hadn’t brought anything with her apart from shorts and a t-shirt. But I could see the magic of the moment — so we made it happen. We popped home for lunch, and with a little creative thinking (and some improvisation!), the prettiest 'dress' appeared — one of my own blouses. Sometimes that’s all it takes: a little imagination and the right light.

Everyday Moments - Extraordinary Memories.
Back at the farm, Frankie lit up among the flowers. The way she played, wandered, and laughed — it was pure, unposed joy. The kind of images you can’t stage, only discover when you lean into the unexpected. And that’s what I love most about photography: the chance to turn everyday moments into extraordinary memories. It doesn’t always take a grand plan — sometimes all you need is sunshine, a field of flowers, and a little spark of spontaneity.

The Real Magic.
This impromptu sunflower session will always remind me that the best photographs often happen when you least expect them. And that’s the real magic. If you’d love portraits that capture the beauty of real, unplanned moments, I’d be delighted to create them with you.
