In Their Own Light.
They still move through the same daily routines they always have. Mum is the driving force, always finding jobs that need doing and keeping Dad busy with tasks he often insists don’t really need doing at all — though in many ways it’s what keeps him going. They have lived in the same house since they married in 1961, and the rhythm of it all feels deeply familiar; the chairs, the routines, the quiet moments moving from one room to another. Growing up, they always did their best for us without ever making a fuss about it. Photographing them now, in the home and routines that have shaped so much of family life, I’m aware of how constant they have always been.
